President Mahama Summons TDC CEO and Tema MCE Over Development Dispute

President John Mahama has directed key officials involved in a growing dispute over a development project at Community 1 Site 3 in Tema to appear before him on Monday, August 17, 2026.

According to a report by citinewsroom.com, the meeting—scheduled for 11:00 am—will bring together TDC Company Limited Managing Director Courage Nunekpeku, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive Ebi Bright, the Minister for Local Government, and the Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources.

The directive follows escalating tensions between the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) and TDC over the ongoing project. The TMA has opposed the development and ordered TDC to halt work, citing the absence of the necessary permits.

Residents have also raised complaints about activities at the site, including:
