The Controller and Accountant-General, Kwasi Agyei, has been honoured as the Best-Performing Head of Department for the 2025 Performance Year at the Civil Service Awards Ceremony.
The event, held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Alisa Hotel in Accra, brought together Directors and Heads of Departments under the Ministry of Finance to recognise outstanding performance and commitment to public service.
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang was present at the ceremony and presented awards to the various winners.
Kwasi Agyei received the award in recognition of his leadership and performance during the 2025 performance year. The accolade highlights the contribution of the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) to the effective management of public financial administration and the delivery of key government financial services.
The Civil Service organised the awards as part of efforts to recognise excellence, accountability, professionalism, and improved performance within the public sector.
